About Dr. Jupiter

How This Work Found Me.

I am Ajah-Christine Fambo — known to my clients as Dr. Jupiter.

A Vaidya (Ayurvedic Physician). A filmmaker. An author. A mother. And someone this work found long before it had a name.

My friends named me Jupiter out of pure affection. My clients kept the name — because of how a session feels. Why Jupiter? →

The Root

Where This Comes From

I come from a long line of healers and wisdom keepers who sat with people in their suffering and helped them find the divine thread running through it.

As a child, I sat in silence with my grandfather — a guru and healer of many.

This work is rooted in something that arrived before any degree, any training, any credential.

Different sounds. Different centuries. Different continents. Five names. The same meaning.

The First Calling — Science

Medicine Claimed Me Early. I Thought It Was Asking Me To Stay.

The first years of my life were spent on a farm and in the presence of the Divine.

This was my first education — before any school, before any formal tradition, before I had language for what I was experiencing. It taught me that life has a force moving through everything that cannot be measured but can absolutely be felt.

That knowing has never left. It lives underneath everything else.

Having lived across different countries and moved through different cultures, I eventually found my way to pre-medicine — beginning at George Washington University, where I entered an OB-GYN mentorship with surgical shadowing at George Washington Hospital. I then continued at the University of Maryland, and completed pediatric volunteer work at the National Institutes of Health. Medicine claimed me early. I thought it was asking me to stay.

It was only preparing me.

The Detour That Wasn't

Storytelling And Healing Are The Same Impulse.

I left premed. I earned an MFA in Film Directing and Writing from CalArts — and discovered that storytelling and healing are the same impulse, reaching toward people through different doors.

I moved to Manhattan. I worked as a video journalist at the United Nations, covering Prime Ministers and world leaders. I learned that the most important things happen not in chambers — but in the quiet interior of a human being trying to understand what they are here for.

I came back to California. I wrote and directed a feature-length film — Conscious Love — originally distributed by Gaia, now available on Amazon Prime. And in that season, I also became a mother.

What Motherhood Taught Me

I Know What It Is To Receive A Soul.

Before I returned to medicine, I gave my child my full and undivided presence through his earliest years.

What I learned in that season — about how a soul settles into a body, about what a new life draws from the emotional environment it enters, about what it means to show up completely for a being who chose you — is woven into every session I hold now.

I guide my clients not only from clinical knowledge. I guide them from lived experience of this threshold.

I know what it is to receive a soul.

I have come to understand that some souls seek out their parents with intention — because those particular parents carry the specific conditions, the healing, the love, and the readiness that will allow that soul to arrive and bring its gifts fully into the world.

The soul is also the parent's teacher. And the parent, the soul's. The relationship moves in both directions, from the very beginning.

That is what this work prepares.

The Return

The Return To Medicine.

After completing Conscious Love, I heard a voice calling me back to medicine.

Not to the medicine I had once studied as a pre-med student in Washington, D.C. — but to a deeper medicine, one that could hold the body, the mind, the heart, and the soul at once.

The two paths I had walked — the clinical and the creative, the scientific and the soulful — were not separate after all. They were one path that had been waiting for me to recognize it.

I returned to formal study — a Master's degree in Ayurveda and Integrative Medicine. Concurrently, I sat with multiple Ayurvedic Masters and Gurus, deepening what no degree alone could teach.

The Voice That Brought Me Back

The Ancient And The Modern Are The Same Truth.

I deepened ancient knowledge alongside modern Western science — neuroscience, genetics, epigenetics — because the ancient and the modern are not opposing languages. They are the same truth, spoken in different centuries.

I healed myself through this medicine first. Then I learned how to offer it to others.

The Medical Foundation

Dr. Jupiter's clinical training began in Western medicine — as a pre-med student at George Washington University, shadowing an OB/GYN surgeon in the operating room and delivery suites at GW Hospital, in private obstetric and gynecology practice in Washington, D.C., and as a volunteer at the NIH Pediatric Center. That Western clinical foundation continued and deepened within her Ayurvedic education — learning to recognize Western diseases, diagnoses, and treatment modalities, then seeing those same symptoms and conditions through Ayurvedic medical lenses. Understanding how Ayurveda approaches the same health condition that Western medicine names, diagnoses, and treats.

This is not a practitioner who abandoned one system for another. This is a practitioner trained in the integration itself — fluent in both languages, reading the same body from both sides.

The Mission

The Soul Arriving Free.

My life's work is to protect that arrival — to ensure that when a soul comes into this world, it arrives free of the generational weight that was never its own. Free to walk directly into its dharma.

Everything I have learned — the Vedic medicine, the neuroscience, the epigenetics, the trauma work, the couples work, the film, the writing, the years of full presence with my child — is in service of one thing.

Humanity's welfare has always been my drive. My love for humanity is woven through everything that I do — one individual at a time.

The Name

Given, Not Chosen.

I have always loved the planet Jupiter — its enormity, its gravitational pull, the way it quietly holds so much of our solar system in place. That love found its way into my children's book One-Day-Friends, and from there, my friends began calling me Jupiter.

The name stayed — first among friends, then among clients. It stayed because it carries the same intention as the work: to hold space for what is unfolding.

In Jyotish — Vedic astrology, one of the sister sciences within the Vedic tradition — each planet governs a dimension of human life. Mars governs the masculine life force: strength, vitality, the seed. Venus governs the feminine: love, ojas, the receptive field of creation. And Jupiter — Brihaspati, the Guru — is the Putra Karaka: the planet associated with children, expansion, and the soul's readiness. The greatest benefic in the solar system.

My clients call me Dr. Jupiter not because I asked them to, but because of how a session feels — unhurried, personal, and fully present.

The planet associated with fertility, wisdom, and expansion. That is the name. That is the intention behind the work.

Men: Mars · Women: Venus · Babies: Jupiter

The world I work in is a world of divine pairs — Brahma and Saraswati, Vishnu and Lakshmi, Shiva and Parvati. The masculine and the feminine as one. In this tradition, creation was never one-sided. It has always taken both.

This is not a communication model. It is a creation cosmology — 5,000 years old, spoken in different centuries, recognized in an instant.
